Book “Mathematical intrigue in Buffalo”
“Mathematical intrigue in Buffalo” is the title of the latest book written by the architect Gaetano Callocchia and published in late October 2019 by Marna Editrice. The work, based on a true story, tells the adventures of Domenico, a young Abruzzese who leaves his native country in the early 1900s to go to work, like many other Italians, abroad with hope to get a better future, at least from an economic point of view. The highlight of the novel is when Domenico arouses the admiration of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright, for whom he works on the construction of Darwin D. Martin House Complex in Buffalo, manages to define and interpret the proportions and the building modules that were the basis of the Wrightian architectural project.
